The Southern Gulf Islands lie between Vancouver and Victoria, Canada, between the Georgia Strait and Trincomali Channel.  British Columbia's Southern Gulf Islands have attracted artists, writers and craftspeople of all disciplines. This website offers them access to each other and to the public.

Community is as much a state of mind as it is a place to live. It's where we share ideas and experiences ranging from raising children to raising expectations. Community is the physical and philosophical ground we stand on. Culture is the currency we use to keep communities connected.
(Broadcaster Paul Grant, in his introduction to the BC Arts Funding Book, published by the Assembly of BC Arts Councils, with permission.)

Each island has its own unique community of artists.
